Centre Philosophy
Little Marchant Kindergarten is all about providing quality early childhood services that offer children opportunities to explore, create and discover the natural world through play-based learning.
Kindergarten Program
The Little Marchants Kindergarten program is underpinned by the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines and has play-based learning at its heart. Their qualified Early Childhood Teacher will support your child as they make friends and negotiate social interactions while becoming familiar with routines to prepare them for school. They offer diverse opportunities for children to express their creativity and interests as they become lifelong learners.
Long Day Care Program
Our Long Day Care program provides a nurturing environment to help children develop their sense of independence, knowledge and friendships. With a program based on the Early Years Learning Framework and supported by The National Quality Framework, children are encouraged to explore, investigate and learn about the world they live in. They offer an open-ended environment in which children’s voices are heard and follow a holistic approach supporting your child to develop emotionally, socially, physically and academically.
Little Marchants sits on a campus that’s also home to five aged care communities and the corporate office of Wesley Mission Queensland. This provides wonderful opportunities for children to connect with people from older generations through their Intergenerational Program. Children, residents, educators and carers come together regularly, giving them the chance to explore diverse cultures and traditions and to build a strong sense of belonging within the community. Little Marchants is guided by the Early Years Learning Framework, The National Quality Framework and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines.
What parents are saying
I have a three year old son who’s been coming to Little Marchants for two years now. Fortunately, we came across Little Marchants through word of mouth, from other parents who said it’s a great centre, with less kids and all the Educators across all classrooms know your child and their intricacies. We’ve noticed a noticeable increase in his comprehension and his outgoingness not only with his educational development but also social development. Little Marchants has allowed him to blossom socially and he interacts with his mates here and the educators really well. We’ve loved every second of it here (at Little Marchants). We love the inclusiveness of the centre. They have a fantastic online portal you can log into in the afternoon so you can what your child’s done so you can see what they’ve done before you pick them up or after, and that’s saved there so you can look retrospectively. They do say it takes a village to raise a child and we do think this centre is part of our village and a massive part of our son’s development and the way he’s walking into his life. – Andrew (Parent)
