Moreton Bay Boys’ College (MBBC) is a contemporary, independent, Prep to Year 12 boys’ college and one of Queensland’s Top 50 Schools.

Why choose Moreton Bay College?

Moreton Bay Boys' College

MBBC offers small classes, a nurturing environment, Christian values and an academic program based within the International Baccalaureate (IB) which encourages students to think critically, challenge and question.

A dedicated group of excellent teachers; exceptional co-curricular opportunities, including pioneering adventure sports and contemporary music programs; a comprehensive digital program and a strong pastoral care initiative all contribute to an outstanding student experience.

Two colleges, one community

Moreton Bay Boys’ College and sister school Moreton Bay College, located a five-minute drive away, operate as two colleges within one community. In this way, they are able to provide a ‘best of both worlds’ solution for parents who can reap all of the benefits of single-sex education while their children still have the opportunity to engage in joint social, cultural and co-curricular activities.

Pre-Prep

Moreton Bay Boys' College

Enrolments are now open for the new Moreton Bay Colleges’ Pre-Prep program commencing January 2019.

This full-time, co-educational, Queensland Government Approved Kindergarten Program will ignite young learners’ curiosity, offering the magic of early learning through purposeful inquiry, and provide a caring, supportive community for families.

Running from 8.30am to 2.30pm five days a week, students will engage in a rich-inquiry based program focused on essential pre-literacy and pre-numeracy skills. They will enjoy access to specialist teachers for Music, PE, Visual Arts, Library and RE, MBC’s facilities and additional activities such as swimming and dance.

To find out more, please contact the enrolments office on registrar@mbbc.qld.edu.au or 07 3249 9322.

Academic Program

Moreton Bay Boys' College

While knowledge is a key element of successful learning at MBBC, the College also places a strong emphasis on teaching students how to learn through the IB PYP (International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme) and IB MYP (International Baccalaureate Middle Years Programme). Through these inquiry-based programs, students are encouraged to engage with the material they’re being taught; to understand how it might apply in real-world situations as well how to collaborate and problem solve.

Learning support, additional offerings for gifted students and progressive online reporting aim to improve student learning depth, facilitate goal setting and enable students to realise their full potential.
