Churches of Christ Care Family Day Care services help parents and carers to work, study and stay connected to community life knowing their child is in a safe and nurturing home environment. They deliver educational and care programs that are based on the approved learning frameworks and are influenced by your child’s individual needs, interests, cultural background.

When children are able to choose what interests them and relate it to what they already know, they are more likely to become more confident and competent and better able to deal with the day-to-day challenges that confront them. Churches of Christ Care Family Day Care’s focus is on matching your child with an educator and an environment as individual as they are.

Find the right fit with Family Day Care

Family day care is a home-based education and care service offered within a family environment at an approved educator’s home.

In family day care children learn through play and exploration within a small group. Churches of Christ Care educators can look after up to four children under school age and three school-aged children.

Each educator has a certificate in early childhood education and has completed an extensive screening and training process. Educators provide experiences that are designed to meet children’s individual needs and interests. Indoor and outdoor play experiences are age appropriate with children self-selecting activities such as storytelling, craft, painting, play-dough, sand and water play, climbing, swings and bike riding.

Find the right fit for your child

Your child

Churches of Christ Care’s team of coordinators are there to help you find care as individual as your child. They do this by getting to know and understand you and your child, and matching you with an educator and home environment that will be the best fit.

After learning about your child and their care requirements, they will introduce you to an educator who will best meet those needs. The final decision as to where your child will be placed is always up to you.

Your family

Just as every child is different, so too are their families. Churches of Christ Care welcomes all cultures and denominations and appreciate everyone’s differences.

Educator meet and greet

After matching your child with a suitable educator, you may have the opportunity to visit the educator in their home, where the care will be provided. Once you and your child have been matched with a home-based educator that you feel comfortable with, it is time to complete the enrolment process.
