At Piptree Early Learning Centres, children thrive in the fun, positive and stimulating environment because staff nurture them along a journey of care and learning. The centres offer early learning for children aged between 6 weeks and five years, with some centres offering an OSHC service for students up to age 12.
Piptree believe that early learning and development extends far beyond the walls of their buildings. That’s why they take great care to build strong and positive relationships with their families and wider communities. By working together, your child can begin to blossom.
Piptree’s environments are purpose-built to ensure children have the optimum space, stimulation and security to actively engage in a wide variety of learning experiences. Staff nurture and encourage the children to participate and explore, and to extend their full range of skills in preparation for Prep.
Piptree Early Learning currently has centre locations at Eight Mile Plains, Heritage Park, Mount Gravatt East, Sunnybank Hills and Tanah Merah.

Centre Philosophy
Piptree Early Learning Centres’ philosophy has been developed based on the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (belonging, being and becoming), with the aim of extending and enriching children’s learning from birth to five years and through the transition of school. They integrate the research and passion of some of the great European pioneers in education, such as Johann Pestalozzi, Jean Piaget, Friedrich Froebel, and Maria Montessori, alongside various national and international theoretical studies. Piptree’s Curriculum is based upon five key principles: Imagination, Emotional Competence, Social Skills, Stimuli Responsiveness and a Smile. Their ultimate objective is to assist in developing children into life-long learners who are equipped with the skills and motivation to teach themselves as they develop.

Learning Domains
To help Piptree achieve their objective, they have implemented a carefully selected variety of educational toys into their early learning centres. The toys have been creatively designed with a strong emphasis in development and education in the following key domains: Mathematics, Science, Language, Health and Creativity.
At the centre of these key learning domains is the concept of social competence, which ties together each of the outcomes to deliver a well-rounded education for children from as young as 0 to 6 years old and beyond.
Piptree believes that outdoor play is extremely important for children, which is why they encourage an indoor/outdoor program. Providing the children with this style of program boosts their physical activity while learning through play.
Kindergarten Program
Piptree’s child-centred development programs are based on the government-approved Early Years Learning Framework: Belonging, Being and Becoming. They balance child-led play with structured, age-appropriate learning to give each child the right support to develop at their own pace.
Their Approved Kindergarten Program is based on the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guides. This program enables the children to develop their confidence and abilities, while still having lots of fun! Through ongoing observations, Piptree’s Educators create programs that cater for each child’s developmental needs and individual interests.
Extracurricular Activities
Piptree offers a range of extra-curricular activities for their children, including sports such as soccer or tennis, music and dance, and they have a number of incursions and/or excursions throughout the year. Please check with centre managers for details.
What parents are saying:
‘I have had both of my kids through this Centre. The staff treat your kids like their own, nothing is ever too much and it’s always clean and tidy and there were always lovely smells coming from the kitchen. There was never a question of where my son would attend when it came time. He loves his educators, everyday is varied with activities and he leaves smiling each and every day. This Centre was the best decision I ever made!‘ – Kate H.
‘Both our girls love Piptree and we’re so grateful to know they’re in the best of hands while we’re at work. All the Piptree staff are amazing and incredibly giving of themselves. You can tell by the way they interact with such care and kindness with all of the kids, and the effort they go to in keeping activities fun, interesting and challenging. They also organise regular events to give parents and other family members a chance to feel part of the bigger centre family. Oh, and I love all the gardening and worm farm too!‘ – Madeline H.
‘My kids love coming every day! The staff here are wonderful and have played a crucial role in helping them achieve our goals including toilet training and most recently eating! My son has always been super fussy and is now trying new foods thanks to them! One happy mum!!! 😄😄’ – Emily B.
